My Story
When my son was in 5th grade, I attended his parent-teacher conference. I had no concerns because he had always been an excellent student. But as I looked in his desk, I saw papers shoved and crinkled every which way. Notebooks bent with tattered edges. Broken pencils, wrappers of every kind, and random papers filled every corner. I shared my alarm with his teacher. She replied that despite the messy desk, he was always able to find what he needed. I agreed and did not see any reason to be concerned. As he got older, his disorganization became more of a problem, and I began to notice other executive function challenges. Once college started and the structure and support disappeared, he struggled and failed some of his classes. Looking back now, I realize that my son's intelligence was not enough. His challenges with executive function impeded his success.

During my 30 years of experience in the field of education, I have worked with many students, like my son, who struggle with executive function. Despite their difficulties, I know every student has the potential to learn and flourish. As a certified life coach and with my training as an executive function coach, I use my expertise to help students become more confident and achieve success in and out of the classroom.
